Mautic 6 security support ends September 30, 2026

According to the official Mautic release schedule, Mautic 6.0 receives free security support until September 30, 2026. Mautic describes version 6 as a bridge release: active bug-fix support ended earlier, while security fixes continue through this date. If you operate Mautic 6, plan a supported upgrade now. Do not assume paid ELTS will cover the gap: Mautic’s current official ELTS materials disagree about whether a Mautic 6 extension is available, so confirm eligibility directly with Mautic before relying on it.

What the September deadline means

Mautic’s releases page places version 6.0 outside active development and in its security-support phase. That free security-support period continues until September 30, 2026. After that date, the published free-support window for the 6.0 line is over.

That date is a support boundary, not a manufactured countdown. Your decision is whether the instance will move to a supported release or operate under a confirmed paid extension. The work required depends on your own plugins, themes, integrations, hosting stack, and change controls.

Do not treat a working instance as a supported instance. Confirm its exact Mautic version and its published support status separately.

The paid ELTS option is clear for Mautic 5.2, not Mautic 6

Operators still on Mautic 5.2 have a documented paid-deferral path. Free security support for 5.2 ended June 30, 2026, and Mautic’s ELTS program page lists paid coverage from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028 in one-year blocks. That gives teams a way to defer an upgrade while continuing to receive the security fixes covered by the program.

Mautic 6 guidance is inconsistent across the vendor’s current official materials:

  • The release schedule lists an ELTS end date of September 30, 2027 for Mautic 6.0.
  • The official ELTS terms list one extension year for Mautic 6 in late 2026 through late 2027.
  • The dedicated ELTS program page says there will be no Mautic 6 offering and advises users to migrate to Mautic 7.3 when it is published.

Those statements cannot all describe the same current offer. Before choosing deferral for a Mautic 6 instance, get direct confirmation from Mautic about eligibility, dates, and coverage. Do not build an operating plan around the schedule table alone.

Plan a supported path before the cutoff

  1. Record the real starting point. Capture the exact Mautic, PHP, database, and web-server versions used by production before choosing a target.
  2. Inventory extensions and integrations. List every plugin, theme, scheduled job, API client, webhook, and custom override that must survive the move.
  3. Choose a currently supported target. Mautic 7 is available now, but release status changes. Check the official releases page when you approve the target version.
  4. Rehearse outside production. Test the upgrade on a representative staging copy, including background jobs, email transport, tracking, forms, campaigns, APIs, and extensions.
  5. Set an explicit support outcome. Before September 30, have either a tested path to a supported release or written confirmation of any paid coverage you intend to use.
